About Us
1875-150 years-2025
Northwich Rowing Club was founded in 1875 and is affiliated to British Rowing, the national governing body for rowing. Based on the River Weaver in the heart of Cheshire, the club prides itself on being a fun, fair and friendly place to come and learn to row, compete and achieve success at every level.
We have squads at every level of the participant pathway and our members range from 13 to 70+ years of age. We strive to find a place for everyone at the club to enjoy the river, the rowing community and the spirit of the sport.
We compete at events throughout the year, many of which are in the North West region. We also enter crews who are of the standard to compete in National events.
We have an active welfare and child protection policy. Our coaches have or are working towards British Rowing recognised qualifications, and we have good contacts with local schools and colleges, further supported through the newly founded 'All Aboard' Youth Rowing programme.
